Course Overview
This course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation in the skills and knowledge required to be an event manager. Via a specific event curriculum the program focusses on all aspects of event management providing you with a flexible skill set relevant to many different industry roles.
With a particular focus on the practical aspects of learning our Industry Engagement Program will connect you directly to the industry people that matter. Work experience, internships and volunteering opportunities will give you the practical experience and industry connections needed for a successful start to your event career.

Our Online Study Option
Event Manager Online gives you the flexibility needed to get the work done without too much disruption to your existing commitments. You will progressively study specialised event content through our Cloud Campus while enjoying high levels of support and attention from event educators and subject specialists.

In addition to our event focussed online content we will assist you in finding meaningful work experience roles via our Industry Engagement Program. You will be offered many ‘real-world’ event opportunities where you will gain exposure to valuable professional networks to help build your employment pathway.
What will you study?
Online course content will cover all aspects of event management from concept development and planning, right through to the implementation and production of a wide range of events including the development of your own event concept and industry-standard production plan to support it.
Using case studies, site visits, lectures, hypotheticals and work experience, this course will immerse you in the world of events in a guided, practical format.
You will study 20 units blended through 11 subjects. These subjects cover all aspects of event management from concept development and planning, right through to the implementation and production of a wide range of events. Using real event scenarios, you will explore the following subject areas:

The Event Manager program will provide you with a comprehensive and flexible skill set that will allow you to find employment in various roles within different sectors of the industry.
By the time you graduate, you will be well connected to the events industry and be awarded an up-to-date and relevant certification that has been benchmarked by industry. You will have developed an impressive resume full of industry experience and the skills and knowledge to confidently enter an event role; the right package for a successful transition into a career in events.

On Campus Diploma graduate
I was completing a Bachelor of Business majoring in Events Management but didn't find the course specific enough for what I wanted to gain. I switched to College of Event Management. From day one I was immersed in the world of event management. By having lecturers working in the industry and the work placement that is required, I believe there is an equal amount of theory and practice which no other college provides.
On Campus Diploma graduate
Volunteering at different events was definitely a highlight of the course. Being a part of event day is a great way to learn on your feet and experience first hand the different difficulties and tasks that have to be overcome to run an event smoothly. Going on site visits was also a highlight - having an inside look at different venues was a great experience.
Online Diploma graduate
I couldn't recommend CoEM more to anyone looking to study event management! They are honestly the industry experts who have an abundance of knowledge to pass on to us students, plus all the staff are so supportive during your entire journey. Having studied Event Planning previously, I couldn't stress enough that CoEM will be the best decision you ever make career wise. The structure and layout of the course is smooth but extremely efficient and has worked well for me as somebody who is employed full time.
