Event Foundation is designed for those with an interest in events who might be considering event management as a career option.
This course will introduce you to the vast global events industry, provide a roadmap for the planning and execution of events and outline the mindsets, attitudes and values required to work as a professional event manager.
By the end of this short course you will have a good understanding of the events industry, the role of an event manager, the workings of an event from beginning to end and a clear idea of a possible career pathway.
This course is introductory. We recommend further study to achieve job-readiness for a career in events.

The Industry Engagement Program gives students the option to work on real events in their local area and provides practical experience and networking opportunities. The Industry Engagement Program is available for Event Starter and Event Manager students only.
Using our online platform you will engage in topics that cover the basic aspects of event management. You will explore the following modules

By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Identify and categorise key sources of information and professional networks in the global events industry
