The purpose of the IEP is to directly engage you with the events industry from your first day of study and to provide guidance and support as you enter the events industry and follow your dreams. Volunteering, internships and employment preparation are all part of IEP.
Employers want to see evidence of practical experience in events. Our volunteer program provides you with fabulous opportunities to work on events of all kinds. All of our courses have a required amount of volunteer hours which must be fulfilled to complete the course. We have so many opportunities to choose from you won’t have any trouble finding roles that suits your schedule.
Internships provide a deeper form of exposure and engagement than short term volunteering. Our industry partners are always on the look out for good prospects and our internship program gives you the chance to shine in front of a potential employer. We offer lots of interesting internship options to choose from.
There are certain boxes to tick when it comes to preparing yourself for the employment market and we will be there to help you look and sound your best. Preparing resumes, writing cover letters and addressing selection criteria, personal presentation and interview techniques. We understand what’s required in a competitive market and will support the pursuit of your dream job.
Event Jobs Online (EJO) is our exclusive in-house event recruitment agency. It is available to our former and current students only. An EJO subscription provides you will the latest market intelligence and job opportunities. Remember, most event roles are not advertised. It’s all about who you know.
